The Berkey Light was initially designed as a lower-cost, lightweight alternative to our stainless steel units. Weighing in at a mere seven pounds, it can provide enough water for groups of up to 20 people. The Berkey Light requires no water pressure and no electricity and uses the same Black Berkey Filters used in the stainless steel units.
The Berkey Light’s see-through aspect makes it easier to quickly and accurately determine how much water is in the upper and lower chambers. The six-inch elevated base allows you to place a drinking water glass under the spigot without putting the unit on the counter’s edge. The BPA-free copolyester material is durable, making it dent- and shatter-proof. The Berkey Light is produced at the same quality as the stainless steel models at a more economical price.
