This work on paper was completed by a female commercial artist, Catherine Figart, during her time at Vogue Magazine in New York City at some point between 1950 and 1958, acquired from a dealer who acquired them from her estate around 2012 when she passed away. All of the works are on paper and fare rom an incredible time of post-War optimism and prosperity. Many of these were used in Vogue Magazine and are in excellent condition. These are perfect for framing or for costume design research.
Work from this time period in this condition are incredibly rare to market. These have been sitting in archival acid free storage for the better part of 40 years.
