Offered for sale is a brand NEW Umuseke basket handcrafted in Uganda from sisal and sweetgrass. In an ethical, fair trade environment and rooted in local African tradition, this basket or wall hanging was handwoven by groups of women in small communities across Uganda. There is a tag identifying the weaver who took weeks to make this basket by hand. It’s ready to hang in any room in your home. Would make a wonderful gift too. Round bowl shape. Appx 11″ in diameter with 4.25″ slope. 3″ straight from edge to base. Made of handwoven sisal and sweetgrass. Natural fibers and grass. Do not submerge nor wash with water. If necessary, use a damp cloth to wipe clean. Fitted with a ready-to-hang loop, but hanging hardware not included. Sold out at Anthropologie. Will be carefully packaged and shipped quickly from a smoke-free environment. |
